Tragedy creates Memorial fund
While Matthew David Jensen sits in a Rice County jail accused of burglarizing homes in Northfield and killing the family dogs, friends and co-workers are looking to help ease the pain. Sandy Vesledahl of Prairie’s Edge Humane Society said they’ve received a $500 donation from the staff at Allina medical clinic in memory of Hugh and Stella, the Murphy family dogs. Prairie’s Edge wanted to do something special with the money so they designated the funds to microchip animals. So far, they’ve microchipped 80 animals. The Murphy familywishes to continue the fund. If you’re interested in donating to the Hugh and Stella Memorial Microchipping fund you can send your donation to PEHS in Faribault stipulating your wish.
