Family, friends and strangers join on FB to offer assistance/support
A large scale search for a missing Northfield man unfortunately yielded no results this week. 44 year old Christopher Nevin has been missing for a week. Northfield police along with NorthStar Search and Dakota County Mounted police were combing the Carleton Arboretum with dogs and on horseback Wednesday. Sgt. PT Haider has been at the forefront of the investigation and continues to follow up on any leads. There’s been a huge outpouring from the public. A Facebook page called Help Find Chris Nevin has over 800 members and is growing with messages of support from all over the country. Right now, while there’s no specific organized search, volunteers are looking anywhere and everywhere and are posting on the facebook page to keep folks informed of where they’ve looked. In fact, locals have created a site with Google Earth to post where they’ve looked. For information go to Help Find Chris Nevin on Facebook. Anyone can join the group. You are also encouraged to call Northfield police with any information you may have about Chris or his whereabouts. 507-645-4475.
